aspell-de-alt software package provides transitional dummy package for aspell-de-1901, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install aspell-de-alt
aspell-de-alt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the aspell-de-alt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep aspell-de-alt *
You will get with aspell-de-alt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
